(Madrid, 1918 – 2003)

Fue una dirigente comunista, feminista, sindicalista y escritora española. Formó parte de la Agrupación de Mujeres Antifascistas.

Con su hijo y su hermana son trasladados a un campo de concentración por pertenecer al Partido Comunista Español, más tarde ingresa en la cárcel de Ventas, donde fue torturada. Allí da clases a mujeres analfabetas. En esa época fusilan a su marido.

Sale en libertad y vuelve a la lucha clandestina entrando a formar parte de la guerrilla urbana madrileña. La detienen y pasa 20 años en la cárcel, condenada a muerte.

En el año 1961 sale en libertad. Marcha a Francia y funda el Movimiento por la Liberación e Igualdad de la Mujer.

Fallece en 2003 en Barcelona, a los 84 años de edad.

She was a communist leader, feminist, syndicalist and Spanish writer. She was part of the “Agrupación de Mujeres Antifascistas”. With her son and sister, they were transferred to a concentration camp because they belong to the Spanish Communist Party, so she went to the prison, where she was tortured. There, she taught illiterate women. At that time her husband was shot.

She was freed and returned to the clandestine fight, entering to comprise of the urban guerrilla Madrilenian. She was arrested spending 20 years in prison, sentenced to death.

In 1961, she was released. She went to France and founded the Movement for the Liberation and Equality of Women.

He died in 2003 in Barcelona, at 84 years old.
