Fue una militante comunista y maestra republicana española Luchó por una enseñanza más moderna, pública, igualitaria y accesible universalmente.

Se licenció en Filosofía y Letras, siendo una de las primeras mujeres que se licenció en la universidad española. También fue una de las primeras atletas de la historia del atletismo valenciano.

Concluida la Guerra Civil cruzó la frontera con Francia, siendo internada en un campo de refugiados, del que lograría escapar junto a su marido. Consiguieron llegar a la Unión Soviética y en Moscú fue maestra de niños españoles acogidos allí. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial cuando llegaron los Nazis, vivió la batalla de Stalingrado, donde salvó a los 14 niños, los alumnos que tenía a su cargo, ayudándoles a cruzar el río Volga y trasladándolos lejos del frente.

Alejandra volvió a Valencia en 1971. Con 100 años de edad, participó como activista y fue conocida como la abuela del 15 M.

She was graduated in Philosophy and Literature, being one of the first women who obtained a degree from an university of Spain. She was also one of the first athletes in the history of Valencian athletics.

After the Civil War, they crossed the border with France, being interned in a refugee camp, where she managed to escape with her husband. She went to the Soviet Union and in Moscow she worked as a teacher for those Spanish children who were welcomed there.
